      Turn on MCP access<\/h3>\n

      An Org Controller enables MCP Access in Dashpivot, under Settings then Security. Nobody in the workspace can connect until that is on, so start here rather than in ChatGPT.<\/p>\n <\/li>\n

      Find Sitemate in ChatGPT<\/h3>\n

      Open Settings, then Apps & Connections, then Explore Apps. Search for \"Sitemate\". Not \"Dashpivot\", and not \"Sitemate MCP\", or it won't appear.<\/p>\n <\/li>\n

      Connect and approve<\/h3>\n

      Click Connect, sign in with your Sitemate credentials, and approve the permissions. You land back in ChatGPT with the app showing as connected.<\/p>\n <\/li>\n

      One rule matters more than the rest: it queries one form template at a time, so name the exact template, the project or team, and the dates. Ask for \"all forms\" and you get whatever it reached first.<\/p>\n

        What a safety inspection is meant to produce<\/h2>\n

        An inspection isn't paperwork for its own sake. It exists to find a hazard before it finds someone, put a name and a date against fixing it, and prove that happened. Most formats carry the same things:<\/p>\n

        • The hazard or non-conformance, described plainly<\/li>\n
        • Where on site it is<\/li>\n
        • A risk rating<\/li>\n
        • The control or corrective action<\/li>\n
        • Who owns it, and by when<\/li>\n
        • Photos of the finding<\/li>\n
        • Sign-off that it was closed out<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n

          If the answers come back thin<\/h2>\n

          Two different problems look the same from the chat window. Either the connection is not doing what you think, or the form template never captured the thing you are asking about.<\/p>\n

          • Nothing connects at all:<\/strong> MCP Access is probably still off, and only an Org Controller can turn it on<\/li>\n
          • Sitemate does not appear in the app list:<\/strong> search "Sitemate" exactly<\/li>\n
          • The tools do not show in a chat:<\/strong> start a new chat, or disconnect and reconnect the app<\/li>\n
          • Results look short:<\/strong> it queries one template at a time, so run a separate query per template rather than asking for everything<\/li>\n
          • Findings sit in one free-text box, so nothing can be grouped.<\/strong> Split them into a repeating section with a field per finding<\/li>\n
          • Location is typed by hand and spelled differently each time.<\/strong> Use a register list so the same place resolves to the same value<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n

            Why findings go cold<\/h2>\n

            Safety officers and supervisors spend hours after an inspection typing up findings, corrective actions and compliance notes. Photos get lost, handwritten notes are illegible, and reports sit incomplete for days while urgent issues wait on documentation.<\/p>\n

            The second failure is quieter. Once a finding is filed it stops being visible. Nobody is reading thirty inspections looking for the hazard that keeps coming back, so the pattern only becomes obvious after an incident.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n
