2. “Conflict-of-Interest” Requirement – It is now required by law to disclose in writing if the professional conducting the inspection has an intention to bid on maintenance or repair. This was not part of the law before, but now HB913 indicates that the person conducting the inspection may not have a direct or indirect interest in the firm unless disclosed in writing.
